Becoming God's End Time Executives

Advancing God's Word ... At Home, In Our Schools, And On The Job!

Last week a dear pastor friend called and, before he even said hello, quickly asked, "Keith, what is The Lord saying to you r-i-g-h-t n-o-w?"  In a short moment, I began to say exactly what I saw in my spirit.

"Jesus is saying that we must encourage God's beloved to encourage His beloved, being ready and willing to speak courage INto the lives of His faithful ones, to bring strength to those who have become weak, to refresh their spirits by speaking over them in prayer. We are to help repair the breaches in the hedge of protection God placed around His beloved, fortifying the hedge by 'calling those things which be not as though they were (Romans 4:17)', reminding them of their Heavenly Father's infinite love for them so their faith is built up so they can trust in Him, rest in Him, and wait on Him.  He wants us to teach His beloved, His fiance' to have His Joy, to smile and laugh in the face of trials.  We must be helping them to store God's Word in their hearts, to meet with Him personally, and often, so they can learn to hear Him by The Holy Spirit's Voice.  Jesus' greatest desire is that we each pursue Him passionately, all of us, encouraging one another to 'be ye doers of The Word (James 1:22)' executing God's Word, both written and spoken."

After relaying what our wonder-full Lord was saying, as He had been relaying to me over the past few days, by His spirit, my friend paused and said, "Yesss!"  I added, "Brother, all of us must be 'becoming God's end-time executives', believing Believers in Jesus Christ, just as consumed with being 'doers of God's Word' as we are about being 'hearers of God's Word'.  Our job is to take God's Word and 'execute, execute, execute' constantly."

I wonder, what comes to mind when you hear the word "executive"?

This conversation takes me back to about seven years old, skateboarding in the driveway on a summer afternoon, when Dad pulled up in his company car as he was just coming home from work.  Dad worked as a regional sales representative for a Fortune 500 company that manufactures medical products and laboratory supplies and equipment for hospitals, medical clinics, colleges for medicine, military medical groups, and other institutions.  Dad got out of the car and said, "Keith, something happened at work today that I want to tell you about.  Let's go inside."

We went inside where Mom had dinner ready.  We set the table, sat down together to thank God for our food and family, and then Dad began smiling real big, almost giddy, as he said, "Well, your ol' dad here has just been awarded 'SALES EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR' for our entire company."  My mom, brothers, and I clapped and made over him like he just won The Super Bowl single-handedly.  Not only was this prestigious award a defining moment for Dad but it would mark the beginning of my life-long venture toward becoming an "executive" in business and more, as well!  But, at that moment, my big question was, "What is an 'executive' really?"

As a result of Dad's great news, from that night on, the image for an "executive" began to form in my young mind.  I kept seeing the daily image of my Dad heading to work in the morning dressed in a nice suit and carrying his brief case.  Then, just weeks after Dad's announcement, a big-sized heavy package came in the mail.  Seeing it had our whole family excited for Dad to open it.  Dad had hit the top of his game as a top-level sales executive, and what he reached into the shipping box and pulled out proved it.  He received a beautiful, 18-inch-high trophy with a tall sharp-dressed businessman on top carrying a briefcase, one foot in front of the other as if he was frozen in mid-stride, confidently walking forward, and Dad's name and award title was printed in large bronze letters on the front.  That was 1962 and Dad's trophy still sits on his office Credenza to this day.

So, what is an "executive" really?

People who get to be called "executives" also get known for the nice, expensive suits they wear to work and the leather briefcase they carry everywhere, right?  Well, over my years of searching for understanding, thanks to my late friend and mentor Myles Munroe's teaching on finding, and defining, the root word of a subject, I looked up the root word in the dictionary to learn the true definition of the noun "executive" by its action/verb root word "execute".  The word execute, a transitive verb, is defined as, "1) To put into effect; to carry out.  2) To perform; to do: synonym: perform.  3) To create (a work of art, for example) in accordance with a prescribed design."  So, an executive is one who executes, carries out, advances an objective.  An executive is a producer who advances an agenda, through much effort, "executing" the objective of the company he/she is working for.

Eventually, The Holy Spirit taught me, and reinforced over and over in me, that an expensive suit wearer, carrying a leather briefcase, is not somebody who is qualified to be an "executive".  You may know the funny little adage we've heard Christians say over the years in The Church, "Sitting in a pew at Church on Sunday makes a person a Christian about as much as standing in a garage makes a person a car."  Seeing through God's eyes for the definition of an "executive" took me a bit by surprise.  The Holy Spirit uploaded this to me, "The title of executive is reserved for the fruit-full."  I began to see the men and women of different professions in a new light after this.

Employees, like Dad, are the serious movers and shakers, having a contagious passion for the company and products they promote and represent.  I watched Dad eager to go to work every day, excited to "execute" the company's objectives, constantly striving to profit the company and their consumers all across the eastern region of the U.S.  His passion for his job as an "executive" grew as he grew to know more about the company's products and benefits, easily able to promote and demonstrate the superior quality and benefits that await the purchasing agents that accept "his" products, over those of his competitors.  Dad always made it a point to show respect and honor for all who he worked with, inside his company's offices and in the offices of prospective buyers.  He was always thinking of how to better demonstrate the way he valued an individual person or group he met to shake hands with.  Never once did Dad look away from someone he was engaged in talking with.  He was disciplined to:  --look a person in the eye when he was talking with them;  --use the name of the person to show value for them as a person;  and --giving a firm handshake to a potential client, even if they may not buy.

In corporate life, the level of excitement and passion an executive has for their products becomes clearly evident in the way that it spills over onto clients.  Those executives with the greatest excitement and passion for their company and products can be easily recognized by the resulting deals they finish and close upon delivery, whatever the product is that they sell and represent for selling.

Dad modeled for me a passion to execute company objectives, to "brag on" his products, and treat others with respect no matter what.  I learned to be a true "executive", being squared away with a good-paying white-collar job, wearing nice suits, driving a company car, having an expense account and plush office with my name on the door, and, most of all, passionately pursuing oneness in God, through Jesus Christ, by the leading of The Holy Spirit, working w-i-t-h The Holy Spirit to gain the knowledge and wisdom for "Becoming (one of) God's End-Time Executives".

Much like it is in the corporate world, there are many people who go to work every day dressed in expensive suits, carrying the latest in electronic devices who are not true executives. Outwardly they look the part but inwardly they are fruitless, much like the fig tree Jesus cursed. (see Matthew 21:19-22) Rather than being an asset to a company and the achieving of it's goals they are a drain on the firm. Kind of like an NFL team paying a ball carrier who rarely shows up to practices and planning meetings that rarely if ever scores a touch down. When dressed out on the practice field or game day these impostors may look the part and appear to be ready for action, but their overall stats tell a different story, they are nonproductive.

In Jesus Christ's Church there are many people who attend multiple services weekly, they dress in expensive suits, carry bibles and own the latest in electronic communication devices but rarely read their bible or pursue Jesus Christ with their whole heart. These folks are sadly not true believers in Jesus Christ or the gospel He preaches. The late prophet of God Smith Wigglesworth referred to this sect of the Church as "unbelieving believers." These people in many cases can have an impressive number of scriptures memorized and can even quote them word for word but they are not doers of what God has given us His wonder-full Holy Scriptures to achieve.

The title of executive in The Holy Trinities eyes is reserved for the doers of God's Holy Word! "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." James 1:22-25

The first real clue that The Holy Spirit gave to me concerning my quest of becoming one of God's executives was when He reminded me one evening while I was asking Him how I could become more fruitful for God's glory. I was suddenly reminded of how passionate my Dad was about his job, about the company he was a part of and about his obvious excitement about the products that they manufactured and were making available to the medical industry.

What The Holy Spirit reminded me of was the reason or the why for Dad's success. It was his excitement for his company and the products that they manufactured. I was reminded of how,  more Dad would spend time in his office at home reading up on his companies products and their products second to none quality and capabilities. The more time he spent with the companies engineers who designed their products the more passionate he would become about those products and how their products would benefit the medical industry as a whole, the more he could not wait to schedule meetings with hospital purchasing agents, doctors and nurses to "brag-on' or to present the products that he was representing.

The Holy Spirit revealed to me that the same principals that promoted Dad to executive status in his  business life are the same principals that, if followed, will result in our achieving executive status in our Father's eyes. Dad was so proud of the products that he had the privilege of representing. He was equally as passionate about and proud of the company he was honored to work with, so much so that, from the moment his feet hit the floor in the mornings till his head hit the pillow at night, Dad was thinking of ways that he could locate and make his products available to more medical professionals. He was always thinking of ways that he could announce to as many physicians as he possibly could of the superior quality of his products over his competitors, and most of all, how he could educate them about the benefits of their using his products. Benefits that would greatly improve their end results.

Go into all the world and preach the gospel.

As Christians we must all step back and examine ourselves, are we believing believers or are we unbelieving believers? Do we love Jesus Christ to the point that we are doers of His Word and not hearers only? Are we truly executives in our Father's eyes, those who are passionately pursuing and working with The Holy Trinity to advance Their dream in this earth or are we empty suits, those who are deceived into thinking that reading our bibles on occasion and attending church services one Sunday is enough?

As a ministry family and team here at Toward The Mark, our mission and vision is to lead everyone we come in contact with into the saving knowledge of our wonder-full King Jesus Christ!  As that great day of our Lord's return draws closer with each passing day, who do you know that may need encouraged by this blog message you can forward on to them this week?

EMERGENCY WARNING TO PROFESSING WITCHES PLANNING TO DO HARM TOWARD GOD'S ANOINTED...

"DON'T be Deceived! This 'Call to Curse' is set up by satan himself!"

Listen In... Pass It On: #FightingTheGoodFightOfFaith
E MERGENCY WARNING TO "WITCHES" AND ANYONE ELSE THAT WOULD SPEAK HARM TO THOSE WHO HONOR GOD... "DON'T TOUCH OR HARM, EVEN ONE OF, MY ANOINTED ONES!!" Regarding today's rumoured attempt by those of you who profess to be "witches," and anyone else who is planning to curse President Trump, his family, his cabinet, or any of those who support them, FOR YOUR OWN SAKES, PLEASE, do not participate!

IT'S A TRAP! DON'T BE DECEIVED, this "call to curse," is organized by satan himself, working in and through the lives of those who have been deceived by him! For the sole purpose of using your own words and actions against you, satan seeks to "trick" you into calling God's Unfathomably Tormenting Wrath down on your own heads. DON'T FALL FOR IT! PLEASE, for your own sakes,...

DO NOT speak, even one word, of harm toward President Trump or any of his associates who stand with him. If you are too weak to resist satan's temptation to do evil works, you will have no choice but to prepare yourself to suffer the very same curses, torments, horrors, indescribable pain, and the death that you choose to speak, with your own mouth, against President Trump!  And, likewise, you will be cursing your own life, to death, by cursing anyone working alongside our President, as well as anybody else who fears and honors the only Master, only King, and One and Only Lord of ALL of Creation,.. JESUS, THE CHRIST, of THE MOST HIGH AND MIGHTY GOD, for Whom there is NO equal!

            BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE,...
...refuse to participate in cursing anyone!
...call on our wonder-full Lord, Jesus Christ, and commit yourselves to Him wholeheartedly!
...pursue The Lord Jesus Christ with your mind, body, and soul. I know first hand that He will give you the joy you have longed for. He will forgive you of every one of your mistakes and bad choices. In other words, He will, working side by side with you, begin dismantling the walls in your lives that have been keeping you out of the Loving Arms of your Father in Heaven, Who has been waiting for youYour peace, joy, love, rest, and ultimately the fulfilment for why you're here on this earth depends on your making this right choice!  And, most of all, discovering what you are longing for, the purpose for your living, depends on your "choosing".

Fact: Jesus Christ, and only HE, can exchange the hate and bitterness in our heart, for love instead; He will bring good and trusting friends into our lives if we ask Him to. He, and only He, can bring healing between you and anyone you have been separated from for whatever reason. He, and only HE, can fix our broken hearts and heal our broken minds. GOD LOVES YOU AND WANTS YOU TO COME HOME... NOW!

Jesus Christ is, through this simple letter, calling you "home"! He loves you at a depth that nobody else can! He wants you in His Arms like nobody else on this entire planet can want you... and all you have to do is "want" Him too.

NOW, right there where you are, say this to God, "Father God, in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and the Lord of all lords, I lay my life at Your Feet. I come before You, confessing that I am a sinner, and I ask for You to forgive me of all my sins - those that I know I have committed, as well as those that I am not even aware of.  I ask that You come into my heart and be my Lord. I lay my life, and everything in it, at Your Feet, and ask that You please take me and begin to change me to be like YOU. I ask that You redeem the time that has past, and allow me the opportunity to become exactly what You have predestined me to be, from the foundation of the earth. I commit my life to You now, and thank You for receiving me as Your own. In the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God, Amen."  And AMEN!!!

WELCOME HOME! If you have just prayed this prayer we want to congratulate you for making the greatest decision that you can ever make! By accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, you have begun the wonderful process of being grafted into the family of God; and we welcome you home. We would like to invite you to contact us so that we can send you information that will help you begin growing your new relationship with God. We would also encourage you begin attending a Holy Spirit-filled, Bible-believing Church, right away.

We advise you to begin reading your Bible daily, whether you understand it or not. Always remember, God is not nearly as consumed with your understanding Him, as He is with your *believing* Him! The Bible is like no other book that has ever been written; for it is literally alive! The Holy Bible, God's written Word, has the ability, as you read it, to become stored in your heart where the Holy Spirit can bring back in to your remembrance.  You will find that those Scriptures will be applicable to whatever you are going through, at any time!

There are wonderful Bible teachers on television and on the radio that can, especially early in your walk with God, help you to begin receiving good teaching and encouragement right away. Although very informative, these programs are never to be a substitute for close relationships with people who love and serve God. At times, the transformation process that you have now begun will be difficult, and you will be tempted to go back to your old ways of living your old life. It will be the times like these that, hangin' out with strong Christian friends and mentors, will prove to be of the utmost importance. There really IS strength in numbers!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I would like to welcome in to the Family of God... to right where you have always "belonged"! (Selah)

And, remember, NO MATTER WHAT we keep on PRESSIN' IN, and learnin', and growin'.  By the way, have you been in a place in your life when your glass seemed unusually half empty, after is used to be half empty?  How did you handle things and what was the result?  To share  testimony with us, please  e-mail us.  Feel free to write your testimony in a letter and mail it to TOWARD THE MARK, P.O. "SIN is 'Rattlesnake Venom' to the SOUL"

Everything satan and his hoards intend for us is, ultimately, to "steal" our joy, "kill" our passion in pursuing God's purpose for us, and "destroy" our lives.  Jesus tells us, "The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they may have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

"I came away from this experience with a much deeper understanding of just how destructive sin is to the human soul." -Keith
Find this, and more messages like it, in our book LETTERS FROM THE FRONT.

Early one spring, I began preparing to plant my vegetable garden. At the time, I had no idea that a very profound life lesson was on its way. If you are not familiar with the first chapter of our book, "Letters from the Front," which is called, "Sin Makes Ya Stewpit, "we draw the parallel between the toxic effects of snake venom on the human body and the destructive, and eventually deadly, effects that sin has on the human soul. Like a poisonous snake bite begins to bring death to a person's body at the point of envenomization, sin begins to poison the human's soul at the time in which we allow it to enter into our life. Looking back, I wrote about the effects snake venom can have on the human body based solely on my research studies and what I learned from medical friends that I knew. Until the day I was bitten, in my own back yard, I had no personal experience of the truly terrible toll a poisonous snake bite brings. THEN, all of a sudden, the parallel actually made even, the most, perfect sense.
One evening in early August, when I was watering my garden, I reached into the cucumber plants to pick up the water hose, and I felt a sharp, hard, and sudden sting on my right forearm. At that moment, all I could think of was how, earlier that day, I had been stung by a wasp on my left arm, and how, the day before this, I was bitten on top of my right foot by a spider that left a pretty nasty and painful wound. So, when I felt the snake bite me, I figured that it was another wasp or a bee. Only a moment later, my arm started burning. I reached over with my left hand to rub it, and my hand came away from the spot all covered in blood. I bent my arm around, looking to see what was causing all of the trouble, and this is when I noticed two fang holes. Right away I began sucking the venom out of the puncture wounds which, I later learned, was what saved me a world of hurt and, possibly even, saved my arm. Even though I had sucked out much of the poison that fanged creature had injected into me, I was still about to experience the brutal side effects of trauma to my circulatory and nervous system, of damage to my muscle tissue, and of my body's vital organs beginning to shut down. Most of all, I needed to seek treatment for certain numbness, blurred vision, impaired judgment, decreased sense of hearing, excruciating pain, potential unconsciousness and, if not treated in time, permanent paralysis and eventual death.
Once I realized I had been bitten by a rattlesnake, I called my doctor, in hopes that he might tell me that he could just give me some antibiotics or something to avoid any of the side effects. Instead, he took one look at it, directed me to go straight to the Emergency Room, and off I went. My doctor even called the ER ahead of time, to notify them to expect a viper bite victim who is on his way. This is the time I realized the intensity of my situation and my urgent need for emergency treatment.
If you have ever experienced the "horrors" of being processed through an ER, you can understand how the thought of the long waiting period, was actually more frustrating to me than the snakebite itself. After being admitted for treatment, the doctors took a while to make sure that I was in the clear, then they released me to make my way back home. That is when I began, what turned out to be, about a 3-month healing process of some pretty weird side effects from the venom in my body. One thing that happened a few days after the snake-bite incident was, while I was driving home from a trip to the post office, I experienced a serious example of impaired judgment. It's still somewhat blurry in my memory. The snake venom in my system was apparently burning up a mess of my brain cells, causing short-term memory loss.
There I was, on my way driving home, being pulled over by a patrol officer on a motorcycle. I did not think I was speeding, so I was wondering what in the world his reason could be for stopping me. You need to know that, up until that day, I had a spotless driving record and, frankly, I took great pride in that. The officer got off his motorcycle and walked over to my car. My curiosity peaked as he asked for my license. He then began to ask what my reason was for running that red light at the intersection. I was stunned! I had just run through a red light and had no idea that there was even one there. After the officer had written me a ticket, I very cautiously made my way home and called my doctor. The staff at the hospital had not warned me about these strange side effects that were suddenly taking over my ability to use the judgment that normally came naturally to me. Gratefully, my doctor wrote a nice letter on my behalf, and addressed it to the court, to explain my predicament.
In the courtroom on my court date, I submitted a guilty plea, but with extenuating circumstances that were explained in the letter that I then handed over to the judge. The judge read it, and was amazed. He immediately excused my case and said that he would like to hang on to the letter as a souvenir. At that, we all had a good laugh, and I went home. At the end of court that day, although the whole thing was somewhat amusing and nearly unbelievable, the tormenting effects of the snake’s venom on my body’s system turned into a profound revelation. If there could ever be a clear parallel drawn between the things in the natural and the things of the spirit, it is HERE. In the spiritual sense, sin brings pain, impaired judgment, blurred vision, dulled sense of hearing, and pure destruction upon the soul, like the snake venom brings all of those effects to the human body.
Obviously, it took time for the poison to run its course and work its way to leaving my body, for which I had no choice but to wait. This is where my prayer life suffered during the process. It was as if there had been a huge wall built between me and the Lord. The more I tried to focus on hearing His life-giving Voice, the more frustrated I grew. The snake’s venom numbed my senses, impacting my ability to hear not only in the physical, but in the spirit. It kept me from hearing the one thing that means more to me than life itself – GOD'S VOICE.
The solution to the "sin problem" in our life starts with repenting of any sin we may have allowed into our life -- the sin we know of as well as the sin of which we are not even aware. And, if there has ever been a good time to inspect your "hedge of protection" around you, it's now. Fortify yourself with continual meditation on both God and His Word. Stay in continual communication with Him. Don't look on anything unclean. Keep company with people who love God with all of their hearts.
I came away from the experience of this story with a much deeper understanding of how destructive sin is to the human soul. In my experience, I can say without hesitation, steer clear of BOTH sneaky ol' snakes, and anything that tempts you to invite the devastating effects of sin into your life! If we don't want to suffer the traumatic effects of deadly snakebites, don't touch snakes. Likewise, if we don't want to suffer the awful, excruciating separation from God, don't accept the deadly effects of sin by giving in to temptations, no matter what form they may come in.
"But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death." (James 1:14-15)
"Once we have allowed sin into our system, whether we like it or not, it is going to run its painful course, damaging any and everything that it comes into contact with. Never forget, no matter how void of consequence satan may present (or package) sin to be, the truth is... SIN’s results are NEVER without destructive, and eventually deadly, circumstances!" -Keith
