Be Assured GOD Will Prevail!

Like we can imagine you have been feeling too, we are deeply troubled by the escalating attacks on God's beloved nation of Israel, a big part of our writing this letter today.  We ask that you please prayerfully stand with us as we increase our praying for Israel and her people. Whether it be the rockets that are being lobbed at her daily by those who want to destroy her people and steal her land, the heartbreaking and totally uneducated rhetoric that continues to be leveled against her from "our" very own White House, or the liberal media's increasingly relentless attacks on all things Godly, there is one thing for certain, after all is said and done ~ God will prevail!

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good (Psalm 122:6-9)."

Always remember, "There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand (Proverb 19:21)."  In other words, it is not the opinions of men that will prevail in these last days, it is God's Word that will prevail~ you can rest in that!

Whoever attempts to divide the land of Israel in either word or deed will stand in harsh judgment for it. Read The Word of God as recorded through Joel the prophet. Please read the entire chapter, along with these frequently quoted verses:
"For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted My land. ... Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. ... the day of The LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but The LORD will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am The LORD your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of The LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for The LORD dwelleth in Zion (Joel 3:1-21)."

See, truly, when all is said and done, be assured God will prevail ~ and the current grumblings of the ungodly prove it! The turmoil in the middle east and around the world, as God's Word states, must take place before the King of all kings "Jesus Christ" returns for those who love and serve Him. So, turn off the TV, log off of the web, do your best to avoid those individuals in your life who thrive on speculation, and continue on the path to becoming one with Him.  As a ministry family, each of us must take the time, daily, to find a quiet place, pull down every thought that comes to separate us from God, open God's Holy written Word, ask The Holy Spirit to meet us there, slowly read, wait, and listen, slowly read, wait, and listen until we hear God's spoken Word... The Holy Spirit bringing what God gives to Jesus Christ to give to Him to relay to us, personally and in real time.  And, remember always, concerning our Lord's return, no matter what anyone else says, remember this~ those that will be caught up to be with Jesus Christ in the air when He returns, are those who are caught up with Him right now! Lastly, concerning our great "home" of America, please stand with us in praying for President Donald Trump, his family, and all who are in his circle, as well as all God-fearing Americans, that God will provide for and protect all that He and we hold dear.

Right now, God is in the process of drawing all who are Satan's human accomplices out of the dark shadows and into The Light of Jesus Christ, The Way, The Truth, The Life.  The wicked deeds are being revealed, many that have been committed against the people of America and JerUSAlem for many years now.

On behalf of those we are reaching with the Great News of Jesus Christ and The Gospel He teaches, we are humbled and eternally grateful to our TTM friends and co-laborers that make this work possible.  By their faithful prayers and monthly financial sponsorship, we stand ready and equipped to fulfill the mission that God has for us to accomplish during these "war-time efforts", both in the natural and spiritual realms.  As Apostle Paul instructs us in Ephesians 6:11-13, "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

Perfect Preparation is our Greatest Weapon and Ally...

 

We pray that this blog of heartfelt gratitude finds you healthy and victorious over every attempt of the enemy to rob you of this reality: "You are eternally-cherished, brilliantly created by God Himself from the foundation of the earth, and loved by The Holy Trinity far beyond your ability to even imagine it." PERFECT PREPARATION...
is a Soldier's Greatest Weapon
and Ally on the Field of Battle!

In our Speaking of assignments and missions, in the early '90s I was asked by the pastors of Grace Bible Church, on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach, to initiate and lead a young adults group.  That area is home to several Navy bases with personnel and their families that made up a large percentage of the community surrounding the Church.  After our group had been up and running for a few months or so I noticed one evening the arrival of five young, very sharp looking families join our young adults group.

A long and wonderful story short, I would soon learn that the five young men were all members of the same SEAL Team operating out of the local Navy Base. From the time that they had joined our young adults group, until God called me to assist another Pastor and his team much closer to where I was living at the time, my life had been enriched tremendously by our loving, fun and at times stressful bond.

These humble men of God and their beautiful families, by the nature of their mission, lived in a continual state of readiness, not knowing from one moment to the next when their team leader would call, and when he did, where their next mission would take them. Though not exact, it was in some ways like movies we have all seen. For instance, we would all be at lunch after a church service, a cook out or in any other situation when suddenly all of their cell phones would begin to buzz and vibrate simultaneously.

When their team commander would call, the spirit in the room and the countenance of every face immediately shifted to one of extreme focus and urgency, but never panic. From the moment that they would receive their commander's call, each of the team members, their wives and children, like a finely choreographed Broadway production, would leap into action, everyone performing his or her individual tasks, right down to the youngest member of the family making sure that Sippy cups and teddy bears were located and tucked into their own little scat bag. To us, non-military types, that would be a back pack.

Just as each member of the team and their families had their assignments to perform, due to the position that I held in their lives, I had my task as well. Interestingly, I had become familiar enough with the team members and their families over time that I could almost discern when their incoming phone calls were from their commander or when they were not.

What was my mission as their spiritual group leader? It was to pray militantly for God's protection and wisdom over the men during their deployments and to do my best to lighten the spirit of each mission, for their wives and children's sake, as much as I could, considering the circumstances. I can remember lying awake at night praying, knowing that the guys were in a C-130 troop plane getting ready to jump into the dark skies over, what they would refer to as, their next objective. An unspoken reality that haunted everyone involved was that the next mission, God forbid, could be their last. The bond that they all shared was forged in the continuous, white-hot flames of uncertainty, not knowing what their next mission would hold.

Though a tremendously stressful lifestyle for all involved, the team members and their wives continuous state of readiness was abundantly obvious, a silent and unwavering display of strength far beyond their years. These men and their wives were always "on," they were always aware of their surroundings, keenly and skillfully adaptable to any situation, and ready to deploy at a moment's notice.

I can remember thinking during our time together, and many times since, of just how  effective that we as The Body of Jesus Christ would be if each of us were as prepared and focused on the task at hand as those five special operators and their families were. Each member of their families living out each day, conducting themselves and their moment by moment objectives as if it were their last. They live in a constant state of readiness.

As a ministry team, friends and family, it is our mission to live our lives as if today were to be our last. The Apostle Paul most certainly laid out a clear pattern for us to follow. Not only did he preach The Gospel of Jesus Christ and The Gospel that Jesus Christ preached in one form or another every day, on the final day of his life, the Apostle Paul took advantage of the opportunity he was given by those who were tasked with beheading him to preach a summation of all he had been teaching for the glory of Jesus Christ up to that point in his life.

With this letter's particular emphasis in mind, being prepared for any and every situation, please pay special attention to The Holy Trinity's opening, or first charge, as the Apostle Paul speaks.  For those present for his beheading, and even more importantly for those that would come to Christ in the years to come, he declares in 2 Timothy 4:1-8, "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing (2 Timothy 4:1-8)."

As a side note, I have found that a person's final instructions, whether leaving a list of tasks for others to accomplish in their absence, or leaving their final dying wish, his or her final words will usually be what they consider to be the most important. I believe that 2 Timothy 4 is the Apostle Paul's epitaph, his heart's deepest, most wanted, final wishes.  May we all strive to, as Apostle Paul charged us, "be instant in season, out of season."

We would like to encourage you with four nuggets of wisdom that our special operations friends in Jesus Christ drilled into us over our time and years together:  #1) Be ready for any and every situation... yesterday! Always be prepared;
#2) Always keep your head on a swivel (which means always be keenly aware of your surroundings);
#3) Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! Be filled daily with the water of God's Holy Word as well as keeping physically hydrated with pure drinking water;
#4) Put together a "Scat Bag" (aka: Bug-out-Bag) and always keep it close at hand. An emergency grab-and-go backpack is best to have packed and prepared with items that will make it possible for you to survive for at least five days or until an "all-clear" signal has been given. See the list of specific survival items in the closing to this message below.

In Jesus Christ's Wonder-full Name, and by His Authority, we speak over you God's protection, His provision, His peace, His joy, His wisdom, His understanding, and the fulfillment of all that He had created you to do and to be, with Him, from the foundation of His wonder-full creation. And, apart from hoping and praying that we achieve a God-honoring victory in the upcoming November election, our steadfast missions always have been, and always will remain, the same...  We love the unlovable, feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the naked, and heal the sick... spiritually, emotionally, and physically. With that in mind, and more, we cannot possibly thank you enough for helping make our work to fulfill The Holy Trinity's Plan and Call on our lives possible!

In closing, in the spirit of preparedness for any earthly emergency you may encounter, we put together for you a list of necessary items to include in your "Ready or Scat Bag"...

Suggested Scat Bag inventory inside a durable and waterproof backpack capable of holding all important items...  Holy Bible, drinking water, photo identifications, passport, first aid kit, prescription medicines, water purification tablets, potable water filter, duct tape, flash light w/spare batteries, nonperishable foods, bug repellent, light weight tarpaulin, socks, underwear, gloves, shirt, pants, lighter w/ spare fluid, multi-purpose knife, portable saw, hatchet, roll of parachute cord, Benadryl cream and tablets, small hydrogen peroxide, tooth brush w/paste, toilet paper, folding shovel, portable hand-crank solar-powered radio, light-weight thermal blanket, fire arm, compass, Tylenol, Advil, insect repel wipes, digital thermometer, sleeping bags, rain suit... and don't forget teddy bear for your (or someone else's) child :-).

"You and I best be believing that this fight can, and will, be for 'Our Finest Hour'!" -- KeithAndBrendaLee Shealy

Last week, when I (Keith) was listening to a friend's fears concerning a mass spread of the coronavirus, he asked if I thought we in America run the same risk as in other countries. He also wanted to know, if we are at risk, what would I suggest each of us do to defeat it. I'm not a physician of course but, after I thought about how I could set his mind at ease, I gave him my personal opinion that the deadly effects of the COVID-19 are not nearly as much of a risk to the lives of our citizens, per capita, as to citizens of other countries like China and Italy. He was quick to respond by asking, "Why? Why would this thing be called a worldwide pandemic by those with brilliant medical minds, yet you're able to say that we don't run the same risks in America?"

We've had friends over the years who travelled to many different countries around the world. Several of them had spoken about how much cleaner the United States is compared to every other country they had travelled to for work or vacation. Why do I mention that? Because, when it comes to starving the coronavirus or any other bad viral bacteria, we've got the best conditions and practices right here in the U.S. with our good sanitation, healthy eating habits, and overall hygiene. Just to hear me say that helped our friend feel better. He candidly replied, "You know, as simple and obvious as that point is, I hadn't even thought of that." I also told him that it's times like these that can come to remind us to sterilize our souls, the inward man of the heart, every day. Just as we focus our efforts on keeping our bodies healthy and prepared to maintain us in our life, our spiritual being needs kept as well. We are fighting against all kinds of "germs" that constantly attack our body, soul, and spirit, being in the world. The process of sterilization is crucial to our lives in critical times like these. As we pay special attention to our physical health, we cannot allow fear and misplaced focus to cost us the important attention we must pay to the principle thing of the remaking of our soul.

Just as coronavirus is able to spread in the natural, unclean spirits are able to spread in the spiritual realm, I told our friend. He replied, "I don't get it. What does that mean?" In order to keep my answer short, I explained simply that we fight against "spiritual germs" that are no less deadly than germs in the natural realm, but they are called "unclean spirits" that we identify with. To further explain, a few examples of those "unclean spirits" are fear, intimidation, anger, worry, anxiety, and greed, all of which can be passed to us through the lives of those we are exposed to, much like we know germs and bad bacteria are able to spread in the natural. Through the lives of people who have been exposed to people "infected" with unclean spiritual germs, the unclean spirits are able to spread as well. So you see, it all gets back to staying clean using sterilization, physically and also spiritually!

As soon as our conversation finished, The Lord reminded me, by the wonderful Holy Spirit of course, something I learned earlier in life concerning the process of sterilization in the physical realm. This may help better explain the crucial importance of using cleanliness by sterilization to defeat unclean germs, both in the natural and in the spiritual. I remember the first time when I heard the name of Florence Nightingale. I was a little boy and my dad was working in the medical field developing the designs, production, and sales of new medical devices and equipment. It was through Dad's work that I learned about the remarkable accomplishments of Florence Nightingale, and so much so that her legacy has been imprinted on my mind ever since. During his time in the medical field, Dad accomplished a rather mammoth feat. He designed and took to market thirty-eight new medical devices, each one of them needing a unique and note-worthy product name, slogan, and sales campaign. To me, that was perhaps the most exciting part of the entire development process.

Every time I would see Dad come home with that easily-recognizable smile and spring in his step, I would just drop what I was doing and follow him into his office. One day when I was about ten years old, Dad came home excited about a new product in the trademark process that was just months from being introduced to market. That particular day is when I heard of Florence Nightingale for the first time. In the mid-1960's there was a real need for a more effective way to sterilize medical instruments such as scalpels, needles, and syringes. The product Dad had been developing was a device that would be capable of substantially reducing the transference of germs that were increasingly taking the lives of people in surgical and recovery hospitals. If you know anything of the profound sterilization processes that Florence Nightingale fought to implement, and the fierce resistance and hospital regulations she had to fight, you know just how mightily God used her brilliant discoveries in saving countless lives, both then and to this day. When Dad told me his plan to associate his new sterilization device with Florence Nightingale, referring to her as "the mother of modern-day sterilization", I remember thinking how fitting that was.

Florence Nightingale lived from 1820 to 1910 and is well-known in England as "the mother of nursing." She was just 16 years old when she is known to have said that "hearing the voice of God" it was confirmed in her heart that she was being called to care for the sick. In short, God had given her the wisdom to know that, if she could provide more sanitary conditions on the battle fields, in hospitals, and in homes, she could help to greatly increase the chances of sick or injured patients to survive the deadly diseases that occurred at any uncertain time. As a matter of fact, her first assignment as a military field nurse for the British was to oversee a filthy, disease-riddled, rat-infested military field hospital during a war against the Russians. The lives that she and her nurses saved in the first few months were in the thousands, just by their implementing sanitary work conditions. As a result of her training up new nurses in the crucially-important practice of sterilization, facility cleanliness, and feeding patients nutritious, sanitarily-prepared foods, the mortality rate improved so much and so quickly that Florence received worldwide acclaim and was awarded the highest honors of a number of different nations. Also, she accomplished all of that despite the sad fact that her mother and dad, high society folks, were ashamed of the noble career path she had chosen. Among the many revolutionary ideas of Florence Nightingale and her life's work, she also is the inventor of the pie chart.

As you may well-imagine based on my brief dissertation of Florence Nightingale and her storied life and victories over unsanitary conditions, God used her as a gift to all of us. With that, we would like to share this little poem we've put together, in the fashion and spirit of Sir Winston Churchill's famed rallying cry to the British people during Germany's brutal attacks and bombings over London in World War II. We hope it'll make you smile as you read, "We'll Fight!"

"We'll fight these COVID-germs at every turn, in the inside and outside air, we'll fight'em in bathrooms and kitchens too, we'll fight'em everywhere! We'll fight'em in our houses round, up noses and even our britches. We'll fight'em on steering wheels, on desktops, and in frig's. We'll fight'em on our hands and faces, in nooks, crannies, and ledges. We'll fight'em in their dens and caves in unexpected places. We'll fight'em up, we'll fight'em down, we'll fight'em side to side, we'll fight those germs and devils both... 'til each of'em has died!"

And the greatest gift of all, God-given by way of the cleansing, purifying blood that His Son Jesus Christ shed in His suffering and death on the cross for us all, whosoever will ask Him will be saved. Let's reflect on our Father's promises to each one of us, individually, in Isaiah 54:10-17, "For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith The LORD that hath mercy on thee. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of The LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by Me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of The LORD, and their righteousness is of Me, saith The LORD."

We close with letting you know we are praying for you and all who stop here to read this blog, standing together with believing that this can be "Our Finest Hour". We pray in The Name of Jesus Christ, by His Authority, for God to raise His hedge of protection around you. We will continue to be warring in prayer on your behalf, and will continue praying for you once this unpredictable fight is past.

You and I best be believing that this fight can, and will, be for 'Our Finest Hour'!"
