As Americans...
we are blessed to have the right to be involved in a system of government that allows us the privilege of affecting the outcome of our elections. However, that right comes with a responsibility: to participate. As representatives of Christ Jesus on earth, we have a mandate to be salt and light wherever we go and in all we do.Jesus teaches us,"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the
salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is
thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be
trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A
city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light
a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your
light so shine before men, that they may see your good
works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
(Matthew 5:13-16)
Remember Hosea's urgent warning to each one of us under God...
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (of God's ways): because you have rejected knowledge (God's ways), I will also reject you, that you will be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of God, I will also forget your children (Hosea 4:6)."
