Is Your Nest Being Unfeathered?

As we go through life, we each experience pain, trials, unpleasant encounters, conflicts with others, ... and so on. While in these troublesome times, do you ever find yourself wondering to yourself, 'What is God doing?' Let's see how it could be that our Father God is leading you out of your life's present situation so you can enter into a brand new, remarkable season of your life.

To see how this could be the case, consider the amazing method the mother Bald Eagle uses to prod her young to leave their nest. She begins with using her materials for constructing the nest. Initially, she uses various sticks and branches to make the foundation, and then remarkably she adds a layer of thorny branches and briars.

After constructing this bed of thorns, the Mother Eagle goes through the extremely painful process of pulling soft down feathers out from under her wings, placing each tiny feather meticulously on top of the briars. She continues stacking the down on top until the bedding is thick enough to insure that neither her eggs nor the eaglets will be hurt by the underlying structure of the nest.

Once her eggs hatch, she begins the job of raising the young birds, eventually urging them to learn how to fly. At this time, Mother Eagle begins removing, little by little, day by day, the soft down feathers from her nest. By gradually uncovering the thorns, she makes the nest more and more uncomfortable for her young, so that if they attempt to stay in the nest, they will be tortured by the exposed thorns which literally puncture the eaglets' soft skin causing them to either leave the nest or bleed out and die.

It is imperative that they leave the nest in order to move on to the next season of their lives. The thorns, then, are not there to be cruel, but instead are intended to help the eaglets mature. The eaglets who follow the instructions of the parent bird will find that the sky is the limit.

Sometimes the pain in our lives comes from God un-feathering our nest, and like the eaglets in our story, we must have trust that our Heavenly Father will give us direction for our lives. For those who trust Him, even the sky is not a limit.

It is, however, crucial to realize that pain in our lives is not always about leaving the nest. Equally as important is the truth that God does not want us to run from the pains we experience as we go through our lives. He will either deliver us from the pain or through the pain, but in every case, He wants us to bring all of it to Him so that He can reveal His purposes and His everlasting Love both in us and through us.

So, is God calling you to move on and leave a painful situation behind you, or does He want you to stay and watch what He does to deliver you through it? In other words, what is God's will for you? Simply put, He wants to reveal Jesus Christ in you. To accomplish this, God the Father sends The Person Of The Holy Spirit to us so that we can partake of the life of our Savoir. As we do, Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of the most high God, reveals to us the Heavenly Father.

How should we respond to this outpouring of divine Love? Jesus commanded us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. So ask the Holy Spirit to meet with you in the pages of God's Holy Written Word and open the Truth in your heart and mind as you read your Bible. Ask God for wisdom to lead you into His will for your life, and watch what Jesus Christ will do.

It is important to note that, whenever we seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, wicked spirits will oppose us, attempting to deceive us and discourage us from following after the Way, the Truth, and the Life. To overcome these attacks, we are instructed to put on the whole Armor Of God, to resist the devil, and having done all to stand.

Sometimes, however, we must leave, or even run for our lives.  At God's direction, the prophet Samuel anointed David to be the future king of Israel, while he was still quite young. It was not long after that when David faced the giant Goliath and defeated him in one-on-one combat. This victory put David on a collision course with Saul, the king of Israel, because Saul recognized and feared the anointing of God in David's life.

Consequently, for years after that, David had to repeatedly flee from king Saul, because Saul sought to kill David. It was only after Saul's death in battle, in which David had no part, was the will of God for David fulfilled when David replaced Saul as king of Israel.

Leaving our current situation, with all that is familiar, and stepping out into the future with so many unknowns, is like turning loose from the safety of a tree's trunk in order to shimmy out on the limb where the sweet fruit is. We cannot and must not do this on our own. When God calls us to move out, He gives us the faith we need, and if the branch starts to crack under us or even breaks, we have the assurance that He will catch us.

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with His Hand (Psalm 37:23-24)."

It cannot be overstated that spiritual discernment is essential in recognizing when it is God's time for us to leave our present situation. This excludes experiences that are emotionally motivated, such as feelings of intimidation, bitterness, false accusations, hurt, rejection, ... and so on. We are not to run from situations that need to be confronted and defeated in our lives. God has marvelous ways of having us confronted by the same or similar situations until we face up to the "giants" that stand between us and God's will for our lives. Also, He does not want us to fight them on our own. He wants to defeat them through us, by giving us His spiritual weaponry and skills.

Simply running from the past does not get rid of the baggage. God does not want us to carry the bitter fruit of our past hurts, rejections, unrepentant wrongs, etc., into our life's new season. For one thing, He does, in no way, want us to infect those in our new situation with the poison of our past. For another, God does not want us to be so weighed down with past offenses that it will hinder our potential for becoming, not just fruitful, but abundantly fruitful in our new season in life.

Forgiveness is essential for getting rid of the baggage and for being fruitful in Christ. We must ask God to forgive us for the wrongs we have committed, and we must receive His forgiveness and cleansing by forgiving ourselves. In other words, faith accepts God's provision in Christ so that when we come to Him for forgiveness, it is just as if we'd never committed the sin. Also, if we have committed the offense against someone else, then we must seek their forgiveness, as well, even if we know that they will not forgive us. Even more importantly, we must be careful to forgive everyone who has offended us.

"Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired it of me: Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow-servant, even as I had pity on you? And his lord was wrought, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my Heavenly Father do also unto you, if you from your hearts forgive not every one of his brothers their trespasses (Matthew 18:32-35)."

In growing spiritually, we must "confront the giants" that are standing between us and our progress, which includes broken relationships needing repaired and sinful offenses committed by us, or against us, needing acknowledged and forgiven. This step is crucial to the success of living the life of Christ and being fruitful IN Him! Sometimes we will find that Father God is calling us to leave our present situations so He can lead us in to a new place, sometimes spiritually and sometimes geographically.

Wherever it is that Father God is leading us to, we can be sure it holds for us wonder-filled opportunities to work with Him freely, to fulfill His Vision for us and our Life, and to ultimately become ONE I-n Him.

OUT from Under HIS WINGS

"The Path of Life is set before us by God and, unless we are on the Path of Life and pursuing oneness with Him, we cannot be saved or become fulfilled." - Keith, Brenda, and Team TTM

When we do not position ourselves under God's Care, inside of our God-given calling, we can never be safe and secure, truly happy and whole, or fulfilled in our life.  Being that so many people are outside of God, Himself, we see prisons overloaded, prescription drug use for depression and anxiety sky-rocketing, and, epidemic in our country today, unfulfilled people following a false sense of satisfaction that leads to indebtedness, and being a slave to loan companies and credit agents.
When people are not functioning in the things of God, with God, in their lives, their search will be in the wrong directions and places.  Those people, in their lack of vision and wisdom that can only be found IN God, fall into traps like racking up exorbitant debt from charging on credit what they can't afford, financing cars and luxury items they want but don't need, running away from reality by taking exotic trips or fantasy get-aways, and other things that cannot replace the satisfaction and fulfillment of being in God's Will.
So, as we can look to see, the truth is, we have a dire need for a "vision", God's Plan and Purpose for our life, in order that we won't certainly destroy ourselves, and perish.  Because the vast majority of people today have never experienced the fulfillment that comes with walking in God's Plan for their lives, they stumble into places where they experiment, choose false hope, and find no chance at true happiness.  All the while, everything they are truly seeking is at the feet of God.  Satan sets out to curtail the uniquely fulfilling life of God's people by leading us into a course of bondages -- taking jobs out of desperation over desire, binding our freedoms and finances, and sending us speeding down the slippery slope of self-destruction that spirals to destruction.
Jesus said, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.(Matthew 13:44-46)
What this means is that for our gifts — indeed, all of the desires of our hearts — to be used by God, we must first die to ourselves. When we do, we enable God to redeem our life, faith, and works, as praise.  But, first, the decision is ours.  We must come to decide we want to lay down our life and things that are most dear to us, rather than holding onto those things and refusing to believe they are what God created and put on the earth for us to enjoy with Him.  We pray you will settle in your heart, today, that you are going to lay your everything at His feet and not pick it up until the time He tells you that it is in His plan for your life, and not your plan.  If we want clarity of vision, God wants to answer that deep desire of our heart, especially when we are ready to do whatever He tells us it will take for us to get it! “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.(Hosea 4:6)
So, don't wait another day to lay your ALL at God’s feet.  Then, watch how BIG God shows Himself to be in His Plan for you, which He fashioned for Success, in your life and in the lives of people all around you.

WHAT is the ROOT of all EVIL?

"If we do not stay continuously focused on our pursuit of *becoming one with Our Father* through Jesus Christ, the very things that have poisoned secular society will pierce our own hearts, costing us the TRUE riches of Life!" -- Keith, Brenda, and TTM Team

The Apostle Paul wrote about the struggle against the temptation of material wealth, "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:9-10)." Note that Paul did not write, "Money is evil" or, "Money is the root of all evil" as many wrongfully suppose. Rather, it is clearly written that...
"For the love of money is the root of all evil: (1 Timothy 6:9)."
The Apostle continues with this instruction, "But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness (1 Timothy 6:11)." The attitude of the heart towards material gain is the source of evil, not the material wealth itself. According to Paul, the victory over the allure of riches begins, quite simply, when we *FLEE*. Of course, once we FLEE, there is more to it after that.
We are also told to, "... follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness... (Philippians 4:8)." Thus, when we are following after The Person of The Holy Spirit of Truth, we position ourselves to receive all Truth and also "... righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness... (Philippians 4:8)"! Herein is True Wealth to be found.
For True Wealth is The Character of The Lord Jesus Christ! "For godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6)." Thus, in order to live a fulfilled and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty, we must continually live in the sweet Presence of Jesus Christ, with His Word growing ever more fruitful in our heart.  It is only in that way that we can be transformed to be like Him.

Invite Jesus Christ into your heart to be your Lord and Savior, right there where you are, by praying this prayer to God, then relax and watch what God does...

"Dear Father God, in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and the Lord of all lords, I lay my life at Your Feet. I come before You, confessing that I am a sinner, and I ask for You to forgive me of all my sins - those that I know I have committed, as well as those that I am not even aware of.  I ask that You come into my heart and be my Lord. I lay my life, and everything in it, at Your Feet, and ask that You please take me and begin to change me to be like YOU. I ask that You redeem the time that has passed, and allow me the opportunity to become exactly what You have predestined me to be, from before the foundation of the earth. I commit my life to You now, and thank You for receiving me as Your own. In the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, I pray, Amen."  And AMEN!!!

            WELCOME HOME!

If you have just prayed this prayer, we want to congratulate you for making the greatest decision that you'll ever make! By accepting Jesus Christ, or rededicating your life to Him, as your personal Lord and Savior, you have begun the wonder-full process of being grafted into the family of God, and we welcome you "Home" to God's Family. We would also like to invite you to contact us so that we can send you information that will help you begin growing in your relationship and daily walk with God. We would encourage you to begin attending a Holy-Spirit-filled, Bible-believing church right away.

We advise you to begin reading The Holy Bible daily, whether you understand it or not. Always remember, God's written Word in The Holy Bible is LIKE NO OTHER BOOK that has ever been written! When we rendezvous with The Person of The Holy Spirit as we read what God has written there, it becomes stored in our heart for The Holy Spirit to access it to bring to our remembrance.  You will find that the Scriptures will become applicable to whatever you are going through, at any given time!

There are wonderful Bible teachers on television and on the radio that can, especially early in your walk with God, help you to begin receiving good teaching, and encouragement, right away. Although very informative, these programs are never to be a substitute for close relationships with people who love and serve God. At times, the transformation process that you have now begun will be difficult, and you will be tempted to go back to your old ways of living your old life. It will be during times like these that hanging out with strong Christian friends and mentors will be crucially important. There really IS strength in numbers! (Selah)

And, remember, no matter what, KEEP PRESSIN' IN...  growin' *with* our Lord and Savior.

Consider using Keith and Brenda's book XII SMOOTH STONES, the special collection of 12 life-changing teaching titles:
